A more open and transparent world challenge us to rethink the way we do business, the way we organize and the way we lead. Globalization, Tranparency, Social Media, Collaborative software - all part of a social revolution that forces companies to engage in Social Business Innovation and Open Business Leadership. What can we learn from LEGO, Google, Starbucks, Proctor & Gamble and Nike?

Note especially 2:24 *’we need to open up and trust our employees,
customers, partners’* … What is this called-for trust supposed to be
based on? The insight that were finally all in the same boat (via
    globalisation)?
And also note 3:05 *’what matters is social capital’* … What is this
social capital but *us*, the users, followers, circlers and tweeters? We
are the 99% +Rod Dunne the 1% creatives’ capital. But that’s not enough,
those 99% have got to be passionate about social media in order to consume
social media. Check this: You can do Anything!

*Social Business – Rethinking Innovation, Organization & Leadership*
This video, uploaded in April 2010, by LeaderLab.com speaks of the
evolution from social media to social business via examples from Starbucks,
Google and Lego, Proctor & Gamble and Nike.
    From their YoutUbe Channel:
*”A more open and transparent world challenge us to rethink the way we do
business, the way we organize and the way we lead. Globalization,
Tranparency, Social Media, Collaborative software – all part of a social
revolution that forces companies to engage in Social Business Innovation

I’ve spent the bulk of my career focused on and passionate about technology
connecting people. I’ve often been labeled as “the email guy” or “the
groupware guy”. I’ve dealt with entire projects or contracts in which my
scope was defined as “…and email”.

Looks like the rest of the business world is finally coming around.

It’s a good time to be a Groupware Architect (and social business
    evangelist).
